Lyndsay D'Silva

Joey Teacher

Ms Lyndsay D'Silva is a qualified RECEand has a Bachelor of Arts degree awarded by the University of Guelph; majoring in Psychology with a minor in Child Development . She is the most recent addition to our Koalaroo family commencing her employment in January 2018.

Lyndsay believes that children learn through experience and through their environment around them. That is why it is so important to nurture their interests and guide their development both intellectually and emotionally. The social skills children learn in the first few years of childhood set the stage for their development. These are some of the most significant skills to nurture. Intellectual skills such as math and language are absorbed with great ease at this stage in a child's development. This is why it is so important to make learning fun and stimulating.

"I have a passion for working with children that started when I was quite young myself. I knew early on I would become a teacher as I enjoy children so much. I also have two children of my own; Justin and Jasmine".

Lyndsay will be co-teaching in the Joey classroom with Miss Amber Fulford, providing exciting experiences for the children through teacher-led activities; learning through play and also encouraging self-exploration and independent learning.
